[ The Introduction ]

A diary:
-6 date diary, each date representing each chapter of the book
-Persona is an 8 year old littlun named John
-Friend of George who was the littlun with the birthmark and died in the first fire
-Persona is still young and not very mature, not able to see the situation as a whole and judge properly
-Childish thinking such as wanting to stay on the island and fear of the beast
-Did not understand much things which were put in place or said

I have wrote this diary corresponding to "Lord Of The Flies" by William Goldings. I have taken a first-person perspective of a character, a littlun named John. So please enjoy my work! (:

[ The Diary ]

25th May 1940 (Day 6)

Dear diary,

Today all of us woke up with an unpleasant piece of news. Sameric had been assaulted by the beast! All of us were in chaos in the morning, we were all so scared and the beast that we all know is finally here to take our life. Then, Ralph organized an expedition for the biguns to search on the island for the beast. All of them set out with sharpened wooden sticks armed. We littluns stayed back along with Piggy. After waiting for some time, a bigun came back and told us that the team had yet to find the beast but found a thin walkway that leads to a hill dotted with small caves. This was not very pleasant to us too as I thought that the beast might be hiding in any of the caves. Then we saw them came back as Ralph ordered them to light the fire up once again. It was obvious that many people did not respect him as much as before and followed his instructions reluctantly. This was like one of the scariest day on the island so far…and George still has not returned…did he really die in the fire? Or did the beast get him?
